Transforming the Horse-Human Relationship
There's no time like the present to transform the relationship you have with your horse. Lucky for you, there's no better opportunity than Jess Holloway's upcoming Cow Working and Horsemanship Basics clinic in Great Falls, MT. Choose the focus area that best aligns with your goals and ride away inspired, empowered, and with a clear understanding of how to extend the benefits of this training over the long-run.
Sessions are limited to eight riders to ensure lots of one-on-one attention from Jess!
OPTION A: Cow Working Basics (Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm)*
If you've dreamed of working cows but aren't quite sure how to begin—or whether you want to brush up your existing skills—this session is for you. Jess will teach you (and your horse) how to safely and effectively work with cows... and how to have fun doing it! This gentle introduction (or refresher) to cow work will help horses and riders build a solid foundation that will serve them for years to come. Best of all, the skills gained during this workshop extend to all other riding disciplines. So, whether you simply want to give cow work a try for a weekend, or need a little "tune up," the focus, leg control, and seat control from this clinic will improve your riding experience every time you put your foot in the stirrup.
*NO prior cow working experience needed. In addition, clinic cows are from a ranch that practices humane treatment and kindness. The ranch owner will be one of the participants, and no cows will be stressed or overworked.
OPTION B: Horsemanship Fundamentals & Problem Solving (Friday and Saturday from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
No matter your riding style or skill level (or those of your horse), foundational horsemanship skills are the keys to a harmonious relationship with your equine partner. Jess will help incorporate proven building blocks of excellent horses and riders into your riding, including clear aids and expectations, seat and leg control, gait quality, rider mindset, and much more.
You'll also be encouraged to share specific issues you and/or your horse have been experiencing, and Jess will provide actionable advice and exercises to help your troubleshoot and remove your roadblocks.
AUDITING: You may audit this clinic for free (no need to register). Please bring your own chair.
